About
I grew up in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains in northern Georgia, and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. My scientific interests are centered around plant-soil interactions, and the applications of such research to land conservation management and environmental education.
Aside from research, I also focus on environmental education and outreach. I enjoy keeping up professional connections to outdoor science schools, ecological centers, and nature preserves that I have been lucky enough to work or volunteer for throughout the years. My hobbies include hiking, bird watching, and bubble soccer.
