Welcome!
My areas of research are in ecosystem ecology, global change, and soil functioning. I focus on the study of ecosystem stability in different global change scenarios, and ecosystem feedbacks on plant-soil interactions. My specific interests include: 1) our ability to accurately evaluate carbon ecosystem residence time; 2) climate impacts on ecosystem state transitions; 3) the use of belowground plant traits and adaptive mechanisms for understanding ecosystem processes; and 4) effects of both current and past land use on ecosystem functioning. My research combines physiological and ecological science in an effort to enhance our understanding of ecosystem process and function. This research is applicable to ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, and natural resource conservation. All of my research is open to the public and data is available upon request.
